Job summary

M1 Global is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer in Michigan City, IN. This role includes 2 weeks PTO, paid training to become an SOC Analyst for a critical infrastructure client, and opportunities to work with a Fortune 500 company.

Weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, flexible schedules, and a 401(k) program are offered. Responsibilities include auditing security systems, monitoring alarms and access control, coordinating resources during incidents, and leading crisis communications.

Responsibilities

• Audit and review security systems; identify vulnerabilities and suggest improvements.
• Monitor alarms, access control, and intrusion systems; distinguish threats from false positives.
• Coordinate and dispatch resources during security incidents; act as primary communications hub.
• Lead crisis communications; trigger preparedness alerts and business continuity actions.
• Support commissioning, testing, and configuration of new or upgraded security systems.
• Compile documentation/evidence for reports, audits and investigations.
• Refine security procedures based on evolving threats and needs.
• Escalate incidents per procedures; provide clear, calm communication during incidents.
• Collaborate with internal teams and client representatives; comply with SOC SOPs and post orders.

Your Responsibilities:

• Audit and review security systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements
• Monitor and analyze alarms, access control, and intrusion systems to identify true threats and reduce false positives
• Coordinate and dispatch resources during security incidents, serving as the primary communication hub
• Lead communication during crisis events, including preparedness alerts and business continuity actions
• Support commissioning, testing, and configuration of new or upgraded security systems
• Compile documentation and evidence for reports, audits, and investigations
• Refine security procedures based on evolving threats and operational needs

Communication & Compliance

• Escalate incidents according to established procedures
• Provide clear, calm communication during rapidly evolving situations
• Collaborate with internal teams and client representatives
• Follow all SOC SOPs, post orders, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in drills, tabletop exercises, and ongoing training

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass a drug test and background screening.
• Prior experience in security, military, corrections, or law enforcement is a plus.

• Reliable transportation required.
