Job summary

Marksman Security is seeking a Security Officer to provide excellent front desk and site support. Responsibilities include assisting visitors, logging activities, controlling access, patrolling premises, and responding to incidents to maintain a safe environment.

Ideal candidates have 21+ years old, security-related experience, and the ability to read and communicate in English. This role requires physical tasks and the ability to pass background checks and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience as a door staff or in a receptionist, customer service, clerical, hotel or restaurant position.
• Must be comfortable around pets/animals.
• Able to acquire and maintain a valid state security license.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to meet physical essential functions of the job (lifting 50+ lbs, patrols, stairs, weather).

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at front desk and assist with directions and information.
• Maintain logs at front desk for people and packages.
• Control access for tenants, visitors or vendors as required.
• Monitor security cameras and conduct patrols to prevent theft and ensure safety.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies and document data for management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities of Security Officers include, but are not limited to:

• Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty, including assisting with directions and general business information
• Maintain clear, accurate administrative logs at front desk pertaining to people or property including packages.
• Control access for tenants, visitors or vendors as required
• Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment
• Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and Titan Security management
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications of Security Officers:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have experience as a door staff professional or in a receptionist, customer service, clerical, hotel or restaurant position.
• Must be comfortable around dogs, cats, and other pets/animals
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Able to acquire and maintain a valid state security license
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather

Preferred Qualifications of Security Officers:

• Bi-lingual considered a plus.
• Evening, overnight, and weekend availability required
