Unarmed Security Officer (Birmingham Area Branch)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.
2. Provide general security duties to clients.
3. Promote safety by observing, correcting, and reporting hazards.
4. Understand and comply with DSI and client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
5. Participate in training and familiarize with safety procedures and DSI’s safety manual.
6. Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.

This position requires a customer service orientation, basic to intermediate computer skills, and effective communication skills. You should be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all weather conditions.

Pre-employment requirements:

• At least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Open availability for afternoon and evening shifts, including weekends.
• Reliable transportation and communication means.
• Pass all background and drug screenings.
