Hourly Rate & Schedule

Hourly Rate: $17.20 to $18.20. On‑call position up to 29 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

• The Security Guard is responsible for enforcing all laws, rules, and policies authorized by the Safety and Security Department.
• Enforces all authorized laws, rules, and regulations.
• The Security Guard performs alarm and patrol duties in assigned areas to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, vandalism, fire, flood, or similar disaster, suspicious acts and/or persons, and other unusual conditions.
• Provides vehicle transportation support function under direction of supervisor in compliance with government, corporate and management directives.
• Aids and assists visitors, students, and staff.
• Performs building security and safety checks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer 1 year of experience in a security department, law enforcement agency, or experience with security duties.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred; prefer Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug‑Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
