Job summary

GDI Security Services is seeking a responsible and dependable security guard to help ensure safety at our premises. The ideal candidate is alert, professional, and reliable.

Shift options include 6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm, and 10:00pm-6:00am (Mon-Fri); plus 6:00am-6:00pm and 6:00pm-6:00am (Sat-Sun). This organization participates in E-Verify and is an Equal Opportunity Employer, with promotion opportunities and employee programs mentioned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or other related fields
• Ability to handle physical workload. Ability to stand and/or walk assigned patrols
• Strong attention to detail
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• Meet and continuously maintain grooming standards

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to deter suspicious activity and criminal activity
• Fill out reports with high level of detail
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, safety & lighting issues
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations
• Successfully use the provided software to annotate events that occur during shift
• Make regular trips around the property and scan the pre-determined points as directed by management
• Must be knowledgeable of the SOPs for the site
• Work as part of a team on a daily basis to include events on property
• Perform other assigned duties.
