Job summary

GDI.com in North Charleston is seeking a responsible Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate should be alert and reliable, with prior experience in security or related fields.

Responsibilities include monitoring for theft and infractions, managing reports, and conducting regular property patrols. GDI offers promotion opportunities, an Employee Assistance Program, and weekly pay. This role requires a H.S. Diploma and the ability to meet grooming standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle a light physical workload; ability to stand and/or walk assigned patrols.
• Meet and continuously maintain grooming standards.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Fill out reports with a high level of detail.
• Make weekly schedules.
• Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
• Work as part of a team.

We are looking for a responsible and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to help ensure safety and security at our premises. The ideal candidate is alert, professional, and reliable.

Shift(s):

7:00am-3:00pm (Monday-Friday)

Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Fill out reports with a high level of detail.
• Make weekly schedules.
• Review reports and communicate effectively.
• Proficient with computer.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations.
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
• Successfully use the provided software to annotate events that occur during shift.
• Make regular trips around the property and scan the pre-determined points as directed by management.
• Work as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or other related fields.
• Familiarity with security equipment.
• Ability to handle a light physical workload; ability to stand and/or walk assigned patrols.
