Job summary

Weatherspoon Enterprises Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a dependable Unarmed Security Officer to protect construction development sites. You’ll manage access control, conduct roving patrols, verify employees and visitors, and document incidents to support safe operations.

Ideal candidates are 18+, legally eligible to work in the U.S., fluent in English, and able to pass background and drug checks. This is a full-time role with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed security roles; some positions require 21+.
• Possess courteous behavior and strong moral character.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Security Officer Certified or able to be certified.
• First Aid CPR/AED may be required for some positions.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Provide Entry & Egress Access Control to sites (When Applicable).
• Perform roving patrols of building interior & exterior (when applicable).
• Verify employees and visitors.
• Draft Incident & Daily Operating Reports.
• Perform Emergency or Life Safety duties (e.g., CPR, AED).
• Follow proper emergency notification procedures (as necessary).
• Customer service/care – greet, assist & direct or escort staff and visitors when applicable.
• Comply with uniform & appearance standards.
• Attend meetings or training sessions (as requested).
• Sustain and secure assigned post for the entire shift until relieved.
• Maintain all certifications and training standards.
• Follow Lost & Found protocols.

Specific Requirements

Work Environment and Schedule

• Job operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking, in the performance of daily security activities.
• Open availability nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as directed (overtime occurs).
• Work various shifts and holidays and special events.

• Pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping and occasional running
