Job summary

Allegiance is hiring an Unarmed School Resource Security Officer for an education facility in Durham, NC. Shift is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM, supporting a safe, respectful school environment.

Responsibilities include patrolling the site, monitoring cameras, de-escalating conflicts, and reporting incidents with clear, professional documentation. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation.
• Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
• Ability to work all shifts.
• Ability to understand, interpret and follow rules and lawful orders.
• Physical stamina and dexterity.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Ability to detect safety hazards and communicate with staff per safety requirements.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a Guard License.

Responsibilities

• Conduct foot patrols of the facility.
• Work and integrate with children in a calm, friendly, and professional manner.
• De-escalate minor conflicts verbally.
• Assist Allegiance management in delegated duties and functions.
• Follow written/verbal directives and post orders.
• Stand or walk for long periods on various surfaces.
• Monitor security cameras.
• Public relations and dealing with the public.
• Assist in investigations concerning loss or damage of client property.
• Observe and document information in a professional manner.

We are looking for you to…

• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
• Conduct foot patrols of the facility
• Ability to work and integrate with children in a calm, friendly, and professional manner

• Assist Allegiance management in delegated duties and functions
• Follow written/verbal directives
• Stand or walk constantly (for multiple hours, up to an entire shift) on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet, grass, dirt)
• Monitor security cameras
• Public relations and awareness and dealing tactfully with the public
• Assist in investigations concerning loss/damage of client property
• Follow post orders, Allegiance policy and procedure and other directives
• Obtain and in detail statements, write reports, interview and observe and document information in a professional manner
