Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Security Officer for the Public Safety department. The role involves patrolling facilities, enforcing safety policies, and providing exceptional service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Certifications in Conducted Energy Weapon use and other trainings are required or pursued after onboarding. Expect to work 40 hours per week with a pay range of $21.85–$32.80 per hour, contingent on experience and location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in security/public safety or customer service.
• CHSO certification or ability to obtain within 2 years.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services with a professional, customer-service approach.
• Maintain safety and security per policies; monitor premises.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols; identify hazards and incidents.
• Respond to emergencies; de-escalate threats when needed.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and first responders.
• Prepare timely incident reports and maintain records.
