Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Security Officer to provide professional security services across campus. The role emphasizes customer-service, safety, and adherence to policies.

You will patrol, handle incidents, and assist with crowd and traffic control while coordinating with law enforcement and hospital leadership to maintain a secure environment. The position requires the mindset to de-escalate conflicts, respond to emergencies, and complete thorough incident reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in security/public safety or customer service with ability to respond to emergent situations.
• Pass background check, pre-placement physical, and pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provides security services with a customer-service approach while upholding policies and training.
• Patrols interior and exterior areas, identifying vulnerabilities and hazards, and conducting safety audits.
• Responds to emergencies, incidents, and workplace violence with de-escalation and safety measures.
• Coordinates with law enforcement and first responders; prepares accurate incident reports.
• Educates staff on safety awareness and coordinates traffic and valet parking support as needed.
