Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed for a hospital setting in Low Moor, VA. You will perform foot and/or vehicle patrols, monitor CCTV and alarms, and prepare reports. The role requires de-escalation, safety awareness, and the ability to work with hospital staff.

Drug screening may be required due to safety-sensitive duties. Position offers part-time hours with pay at $19.00/hour, along with benefits and opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current driver’s license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle.
• Minimum of two years of verifiable employment relating customer service or protective service industry.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills; problem solving.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document observations.
• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary.
• Transport patients to the morgue, as needed.
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to the emergency room.
• Assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of emergencies.
• Monitor entrances and exits; ensure only authorized individuals enter.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents and suspicious activities.
