Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Cleveland, OH for a full-time unarmed healthcare center patrol. You will monitor and protect patients, staff and visitors, respond to incidents, and maintain a visible, helpful presence to deter problems and support a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Vaccinations are required for hospital positions.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of patient-care areas, public spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and help maintain orderly entry and exit procedures in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and designated site personnel.
