Job summary

Armorous is seeking an Unarmed Emergency Support Officer (ESO I) to provide security coverage across Bay Area sites. The role requires carrying out safety and emergency procedures, patrolling sites, and reporting incidents with professionalism.

Entry-level position with onboarding provided and a BSIS Guard Card required. You will respond to assignments across multiple sites, maintain reports, and uphold uniform and licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow directions during onboarding and shifts.
• Able to pass a standard background check and maintain BSIS licensing standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while implementing safety, security, and emergency procedures at assigned sites.
• Respond to shift assignments across multiple sites with minimal notice.
• Patrol buildings, posts, and perimeters; monitor access at entrances and gates.
• Observe and report signs of crime, disorder, hazards, or unusual activity.
• De-escalate situations calmly and professionally.
• Write clear, accurate daily activity and incident reports.
• Maintain uniform, grooming, and BSIS licensing standards.

Now Hiring: Unarmed Emergency Support Officer (ESO I) — $21.00/hr

Armorous Security is hiring Unarmed Emergency Support Officers (ESO I) to provide flexible, reliable security coverage across the Bay Area.
This is a great entry point into a security career - no prior experience required, just a valid BSIS Guard Card and the drive to learn.

Pay: $21.00/hr

Employment Type: On-Call / Per-Diem (Non-Guaranteed Hours)

Classification: Non-Exempt

Coverage Area: Bay Area: Richmond, San Francisco, San Jose, Fairfield, and surrounding cities.
You’ll cover different sites across the region, so reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between locations is a must.

Availability Required: Must be available for some or all weekdays, weekends, and holidays, across day, swing, and night (graveyard) shifts. The more flexible your availability, the more shifts we can offer you.

Experience: 1 year or less of security experience (or none - we’ll train you through our onboarding program)
