Armorous Security is seeking an Armed Emergency Support Officer (ESO III) to handle high-risk posts across the Bay Area. You will cover shifts dispatched to various sites, travel between Richmond, SF, SJ, and surrounding cities, and apply independent judgment with minimal supervision.

Requirements include 3+ years of armed security experience, a valid BSIS Guard Card and Firearm Permit (California), and a clean disciplinary history. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of verified armed security experience or equivalent time as an Armorous Armed ESO with clean firearm qualification history.
• Active BSIS Guard Card and Firearm Permit (California).
• Advanced incident management and de-escalation skills, with a track record in high-pressure situations.
• Sustained reliability and attendance with no unresolved disciplinary action.
• Able to pass a standard background check.

Responsibilities

• Handle Armorous's highest-risk armed posts and sensitive client sites.
• Accept and work coverage shifts as offered by dispatch, including short-notice and emergency assignments.
• Exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision.
• Serve as a mentor to less experienced ESOs on compliance and procedures.
• Safely carry, maintain, and deploy a firearm per policy, state law, and use-of-force guidelines.
• Write clear, accurate reports of daily activity and irregularities.

Now Hiring: Armed Emergency Support Officer (ESO III) — $30.00/hr

Armorous Security is hiring experienced Armed Emergency Support Officers (ESO III) to handle our highest-risk armed posts and most sensitive or high-profile client sites.
This role is built for seasoned armed officers who can work independently and lead by example.

Pay: $30.00/hr

Employment Type: On-Call / Per-Diem (Non-Guaranteed Hours)

Classification: Non-Exempt

Coverage Area: Bay Area — Richmond, San Francisco, San Jose, Fairfield, and surrounding cities. You'll cover different sites across the region, so reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between locations is a must.

Availability Required: Must be available for some or all weekdays, weekends, and holidays, across day, swing, and night (graveyard) shifts.
The more flexible your availability, the more shifts we can offer you.

Experience: 3+ years of verified armed security experience, or equivalent time as an Armorous Armed ESO with a clean firearm qualification history

What You'll Do

• Handle Armorous's highest-risk armed posts and most sensitive or high-profile client sites.

• Serve as an informal point of contact or mentor to less experienced armed ESOs on compliance and post procedures.
• Safely carry, maintain, and deploy a firearm in accordance with company policy, state law, and BSIS use-of-force guidelines.
• Write clear, accurate reports of daily activity and irregularities.

• Advanced, sustained proficiency carrying and deploying a firearm, with no use-of-force policy violations.
• Advanced incident management and de-escalation skills, with a sustained track record in high-pressure situations.
• Sustained record of reliability and attendance, with no unresolved disciplinary action.
• Able to pass a standard background check.
• Reliable transportation to travel between assigned sites.
