Job summary

Armorous Security is seeking an Unarmed Emergency Support Officer (ESO II) for Bay Area sites, including Oakland. You will provide customer service, safety and emergency response, and travel between posts as needed.

Work is on-call with non-guaranteed hours. Requires 1–3 years security experience and a valid California BSIS Guard Card, plus the ability to pass a background check. Weekly pay and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of verified security experience and a valid California BSIS Guard Card.
• Independent judgment and problem-solving in time-sensitive situations.
• Ability to interpret post orders across varied site types.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service while carrying out safety, security, and emergency response procedures at assigned sites.
• Respond promptly to shift assignments across multiple sites and posts with minimal notice.
• Serve as a dependable resource for less-common post types with minimal briefing.
• Patrol buildings, posts, and perimeters, and monitor access at entrances and gates.
• De-escalate situations calmly and professionally, using independent judgment.
• Write clear, accurate reports of daily activity and incidents.
• Maintain uniform, grooming, and BSIS licensing standards.

Now Hiring: Unarmed Emergency Support Officer (ESO II) - $24.00/hr

Armorous Security is hiring Unarmed Emergency Support Officers (ESO II) for candidates with some security experience under their belt.
You'll be trusted to step into unfamiliar posts and handle a variety of site types with confidence.

Pay: $24.00/hr

Employment Type: On-Call / Per-Diem (Non-Guaranteed Hours)

Classification: Non-Exempt

Coverage Area: Bay Area: Richmond, San Francisco, San Jose, Fairfield, and surrounding cities.
You'll cover different sites across the region, so reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between locations is a must.

Availability Required: Must be available for some or all weekdays, weekends, and holidays, across day, swing, and night (graveyard) shifts.
The more flexible your availability, the more shifts we can offer you.

Experience: 1–3 years of verified security experience
