Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed - Property Access in Columbia, SC to safeguard clients across commercial real estate locations. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and respond to security concerns while delivering outstanding customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees.

This full-time role involves day and overnight shifts, patrols, log maintenance, and collaboration with property management to maintain a secure and welcoming

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screening may be required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access control systems, verify credentials, manage visitor entry procedures, and document access-related activity.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access records while communicating with management and leadership.
