Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed - Property Access in Columbia, SC to safeguard clients across commercial real estate locations. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and respond to security concerns while delivering outstanding customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees.

This full-time role involves day and overnight shifts, patrols, log maintenance, and collaboration with property management to maintain a secure and welcoming

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screening may be required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Monitor access control systems, verify credentials, manage visitor entry procedures, and document access-related activity in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access records while communicating professionally with property management, tenants, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
