Job summary

Western Missouri Medical Center seeks an Ultrasonography Technologist to perform diagnostic and vascular ultrasound procedures. You will operate ultrasound equipment, prepare patients, ensure image quality, and document exams in RIS/PACS.

The role requires collaboration with Radiologists and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate has ARDMS certification or registry eligibility, BLS, and completed an accredited Ultrasound Technology program; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology Program with ARDMS certification or registry eligible.
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician for patients.
• Schedule patients and explain procedures to ensure cooperation and test quality.
• Position patients and operate transducers to obtain optimal images.
• Conduct scanning and adjust equipment to focus on target areas.
• Assist physicians with biopsies and related procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
• Enter exams into RIS and PACS and maintain accurate records.
• Adhere to department policies, safety, and infection control guidelines.
• Maintain equipment and supply inventories and attend required meetings.
• Maintain regular attendance and be available for on-call duties.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology Program

ARDMS certified or registry eligible

Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
