Job summary

Atrium Health Harrisburg Free-Standing Emergency Department is seeking an ultrasound technologist to provide diagnostic ultrasound services 36 hours per week. The role includes weekend night shifts (Fri/Sat/Sun, 7pm-7am) with a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities include coordinating ultrasound exams with nursing units and radiologists, operating ultrasound equipment per departmental standards, and ensuring accurate patient care.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and coordinates ultrasound exams.
• Operates ultrasound equipment with proficiency.
• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient.
• Assists Radiologist in performing invasive procedures.
• Maintains assigned work area and supports department operations.
