Job summary

Indiana University Health System is seeking a full-time Ultrasound Technologist at West Hospital. The role includes weekend shifts with a differential and a sign-on bonus for eligible applicants.

You will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, operate ultrasound equipment, and collaborate with radiologists to provide accurate diagnostic information while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Applicants should have 0-3 years of relevant experience, BLS certification, and appropriate ARDMS/ARRT/CCI

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of relevant experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is required.
• Active credentials through ARDMS/ARRT/CCI as applicable by facility accreditation within specified timelines.
• May be pursuing ultrasound education or have graduated from an ultrasound program; certification required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations and generate diagnostic images.
• Operate sonographic equipment independently and ensure image quality for radiologist review.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure their safety and comfort during ultrasound.
• Assist with minimally invasive procedures and intraoperative ultrasound as requested.
• Maintain adherence to scan protocols and high disinfection standards.
