Job summary

Akumin Operating Corp. is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging and provide exam findings to the Radiologist. The role includes collecting patient history, completing worksheets, and maintaining clean, organized exam rooms.

Qualified candidates will have ARDMS/ARRT certification, CPR, 1–2 years ultrasound experience, and the ability to travel to multiple locations. A strong patient-service orientation and good computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or higher; Associates Degree preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• ARDMS or ARRT(S) required.
• State license, if applicable.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• 1–2 years ultrasound experience required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.
• Local travel may be required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all patient ultrasound imaging procedures.
• Gather patient history data and complete worksheets for the Radiologist.
• Perform general upkeep and housekeeping of exam rooms.
• Assist with imaging center workflow by helping with general duties as deemed necessary (e.g., burning discs with images).
