Job summary

Endeavor Health’s Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL seeks a Senior Ultrasound Technologist for full-time shift coverage. You will perform ultrasound imaging, educate patients, and support radiologists with advanced procedures. This role requires certification in 3+ registries (e.g., OB, MSK, RVT) and ARDMS/ARRT registrations.

Shifts are three 12-hour overnights (Thu–Sat, 7pm–7am). Sign-on bonus and competitive pay accompany a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• ARRT (S) or ARDMS registration is required.
• Certified and registered in multiple registries (3+) breast/MSK/Ob/RVT/Gyn/Abd.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce 2D images for radiologists.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
• Perform advanced procedures such as biopsies, paracentesis, thoracentesis, MSK, breast, TCD.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$37.47 - $58.08 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Ultrasound Technologist Senior

Location:

Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL

Contract & Working hours:

Full-Time, 36 hours weekly

Hours: Three 12 hour shifts. Thursday, Friday and Saturday overnights, 7pm-7am

What you will do:

Under general supervision, using ultrasound equipment produces two-dimensional ultrasound images of internal organs for use by Radiologists in the diagnosis of disease and the study of malfunction of organs. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects of the job. Explains procedure to patient, gives opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust. The Ultrasound Technologist Senior is proficient in a range of tasks and skills within multiple ultrasound disciplines/procedures.

In addition to the Ultrasound Tech responsibilities, these Senior Level Technologists are registered in 3 or more registries and/or perform specialized procedures within the department. These include: Biopsies (FNA - Fine Needle Aspiration, Thyroid, Liver, Breast, etc.), Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, MSK, Breast, TCD - Transcranial Doppler

What you will need:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: A minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher
• ARRT (S)(American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography) or ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
• Certified and currently registered as RDMS (OB or AB), RT(S), RT (VS), RVT, or RVS
• Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
• Certified and currently registered in multiple registries (need 3 or more) Breast/MSK/Ob/RVT/Gyn/Abd
• Preferred: 2+ years of previous Ultrasound experience
• Preferred: Prior Ultrasound experience with advanced procedures such as: Biopsies (FNA, Thyroid, Liver, breast, etc.), Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, MSK, Breast, TCD
