Job summary

Endeavor Health's Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL seeks a Radiologic Technologist II to operate radiology equipment and produce diagnostic radiographs under radiologists. The role requires coordinating with physicians and staff to obtain high-quality images using PACS, and providing clear explanations to patients to ease anxiety.

The position is full-time (40 hours) with a 3pm–11:30pm shift, on-call schedule, rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher preferred; high school diploma accepted.
• Knowledge of current ACR/JCAHO requirements for compliance.
• Prior x-ray experience in a surgical environment required.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiology equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs.

$31.46 - $48.76 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do

• Operates a variety of radiology equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes as directed by the Radiologists, in accordance to established protocols.
• Assists physicians and other clinical staff with obtaining films, images, and other records using the Radiology PACS or hospital information systems.
• Explains procedure to patients, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
• Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects of job.

What you will need

• Education : High School Diploma or GED. A minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher, preferred
• License : IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure
• Certifications : Certificate of Completion or a letter from the Radiology Program Director from the Radiology School attended. Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross. At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT(R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) certification (i.e., Certificate of Program Completion or a letter from the Radiology Program Director of the accredited school.).
• Experience : Knowledge of all current American College of Radiology(ACR)/JCAHO requirements in order to maintain compliance with all rules and regulations. Prior x-ray experience in a surgical environment, required.
