Job summary

LH Northeast Radiology in Columbia, SC is seeking a full-time Sonographer to operate ultrasound equipment and communicate results for diagnostic examinations. The role supports radiologists with invasive procedures in the acute care setting and serves patients across age groups.

The position requires BLS and a RDMS pathway (RDMS within 1 year or equivalent). You will interact with diverse patients, including non-English speakers, and maintain equipment in a busy department.

Qualifications

• BLS certification or certification within 3 months of employment.
• CME requirements in scope of specialty.
• RDMS pathway: RDMS within 1 year if not in hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment independently and perform diagnostic exams.
• Communicate results clearly to radiologists and care team.
• Assist radiologist with invasive procedures in acute care as needed.
• Maintain equipment and department safety and accreditation standards.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure patient-centred care across ages.
