Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered ARDMS or ARRT in Sonography.
• BLS certification required by end of orientation.
• Registration in specialty within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound exams under supervision.
• Verifies patient identity and reviews medical history for exam appropriateness.
• Explains procedure, risks and follow-up to patients and families.
• Sets up equipment and acquires appropriate images per protocol.
• Reviews images and communicates data to radiologist.
