Qualifications

• Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARMDS) or ARRT in Sonography.
• Completed American Heart Association (AHA) BLS training by end of orientation.
• Registration in specialty within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams using imaging equipment.
• Explain procedures, side effects, risks, benefits, and alternatives to patients.
• Recognize and respond to medical emergencies.
