Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT registered in Radiography (R) required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers by end of orientation.
• Ability to operate imaging equipment and adjust protocols.
• Interpersonal communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and chart for exam appropriateness.
• Interview patient to obtain medical history and assess risks.
• Explain procedure, risks, benefits and follow-up to patient.
• Set up equipment and acquire images per script.
• Review images, notify radiologist of findings and exceptions.
• Provide post-care instructions and assist in quality improvement.
• Educate residents and students; participate in on-call as required.
