Job summary

Amberwell Health Hiawatha is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to image anatomy using ultrasound equipment, prepare exam rooms, and assist radiologists with procedures and biopsies. You will monitor, document, and communicate findings while maintaining equipment and patient flow in a busy clinic setting.

Qualified candidates typically have ARDMS/ARDMS registry credentials, BLS, and licensure where required, with experience or progression toward RDMS/RDCS specialties.

Qualifications

• AR DMS program and/or ARRT ultrasound training are required or preferred.
• Active licensure as RT with KSBHA if applicable.
• BLS certification is required.
• RDMS/RVT/RDCS credentials are expected or pursued within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and operate ultrasound equipment for imaging.
• Acquire and document images/videos of anatomy and potential abnormalities.
• Notify radiology staff of concerning findings promptly and discretely.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure sterile, organized environment.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot sonography equipment; manage multiple patients in a fast-paced setting.
