Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a PRN Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist in Kansas to perform high-quality ultrasound exams per orders, verify patient details, and document findings in EMR/PACS. You will position patients and adjust equipment to obtain optimal images, while explaining procedures to ensure comfort and privacy.

Required credentials include RDMS abdominal and OB/GYN with other RDMS specialties; BLS/CPR certification is essential, with pediatric RDMS preferred.

Qualifications

• RDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/GYN are required.
• Pediatric RDMS and other specialty credentials are highly preferred.
• Active CPR/BLS certification is required.
• EV accreditation with listed RDMS/ARRT credentials is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per provider orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity and exam appropriateness and obtain necessary clinical history prior to scanning.
• Position patients and equipment to acquire optimal images, waveforms, and data.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within EMR and PACS.
• Explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort, cooperation and privacy.
