Qualifications

Location: Central Region (Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres)

Job Summary for Ultrasound Technologist: The ultrasound technologist performs a variety of ultrasound scanning and imaging procedures independently, utilizing judgment and ingenuity to apply prescribed ultrasound techniques for diagnosis. They assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

• Performs all specialty areas of ultrasound exams, including assisting radiologists with procedures.
• Prepares and reviews images for interpretation by radiologists/physicians for diagnostic purposes.

Requirements

Experience:

• Required: Registered in vascular ultrasound.
• Required: RDMS, ARRT (US), or CCI certification or registry eligible, with knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and at least 6 months of practical ultrasound experience.
• Required: Appropriate registry in practicing ultrasound specialty or active pursuit of registry in ultrasound specialty.
• Required: Completion of required continuing education hours per certification or annual period to meet ARDMS, ARRT, federal, and other accrediting agencies' requirements.
• Required: CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
