Job summary

CJW Medical Center in Richmond, VA is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and support radiology services. You will obtain images, follow scanning protocols, and assist with equipment and room readiness.

The role requires ARDMS/ARRT registration, CPR certification, and preferred 1 year staff sonographer experience. Flexibility for PRN shifts is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer ARDMS or ARRT.
• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Ultrasound Technology.
• CPR certification is current.

Responsibilities

• Obtains quality ultrasound images following scanning protocols and adjusts protocols as needed.
• Manages ultrasound equipment and recognizes diagnostic information; uses independent judgment.
• Performs computer operations in Meditech and PACS; enters charges and verifies orders.
• Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
• Prepares examination rooms; monitors inventory and maintains cleanliness.
• Assists radiology staff with medications, biopsies, and patient care.
• Reviews exams for technical accuracy and completes PACS verification.
• Assists with PACS cleanup and image archiving tasks.
• Completes and maintains required educational requirements.
• Maintains confidentiality of employee and patient information.

Education

Graduate of an AMA approved School of Ultrasound Technology
