Job summary

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna, TN seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform a variety of imaging procedures and support quality patient care in a diagnostic setting. The role includes handling surgery and portable exams, following physician orders, and documenting results in Meditech and PACS.

The ideal candidate will be ARDMS-registered or on track to obtain within 6 months, with a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program background and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• ARDMS registration or attainment within 6 months.
• BLS current.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of imaging procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Manage day-to-day patient care to ensure quality in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
• Demonstrate ability to perform surgery and portable exams.
• Accurately follow physician orders and document exam results in Meditech and verify images in PACS.
• Adhere to quality control procedures and HLD related to equipment and accessories.
• Document patient history, including lab values, accurately.

What you will do in this role:

• You will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician.
• You will be responsibility for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
• You will demonstrate the ability to perform surgery and portable exams.
• You will accurately follow physician orders, document the completion of the exam in Meditech, scans document and verify images in PACS.
• You will follow proper procedures for quality controls and HLD related to equipment and accessories.
• You will demonstrate proper documentation concerning the patient’s history, including lab values.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• ARDMS registered or acquire within 6 months
• BLS current
