Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. seeks an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform sonography examinations. You will prepare rooms, operate equipment, review orders, and ensure high-quality images with accurate patient data for radiologist interpretation.

The role requires ARDMS certification with Abdomen or OB/GYN focus, BLS/CPR certification, and an AMA-accredited educational background in sonography, along with 1–3 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification required.
• Abdomen or OB/GYN certification required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations.
• Review patient medical history and physician orders prior to examination.
• Ensure exam order is complete and meets medical necessity.
• Inspect images for quality and proper patient data before interpretation.
• Assist with training of new technologists and residents.
• Operate ultrasound equipment safely and perform quality control.
• Communicate with patients clearly and with appropriate explanation.
• Provide preliminary reports for interpreting physicians.
