Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound examinations, prep exam rooms and equipment, follow infection control and patient safety protocols, and ensure accurate documentation in the patient record.

Candidates must hold ARDMS certification with RVT and abdomen or OB/GYN, BLS/CPR, and AMA-accredited education; 3–5 years of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification required; RVT plus Abdomen or OB/GYN specialization.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Graduate of an AMA Accredited Educational Program for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment; ensure infection control and patient safety.
• Perform ultrasound examinations and ensure image quality and accuracy.
• Review orders to verify medical necessity and patient data in the record.
• Provide preliminary reports and assist with trainee staff as needed.
• Maintain equipment and participate in quality control procedures.
