Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or NYS-accredited program in sonography.
• ARDMS registry preferred; credential required or strongly preferred.
• Completion of NYS-accredited training and ultrasound registration.
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist or equivalent credential encouraged.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and exam areas; set up/adjust equipment; follow safety rules.
• Perform or assist in diagnostic ultrasound per clinical protocols; document results.
• Schedule exams; maintain files and supplies; assist with telephones and messages.
• Ensure equipment functioning; troubleshoot and report issues promptly.
• Train/orient residents and students as needed during procedures.
