Bright Light Medical Imaging is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a part-time Saturday shift in Arlington Heights. The role emphasizes accurate imaging, patient comfort, and teamwork within a physician-led imaging center.

On-site duties include equipment sterIlization, data recording, and collaboration with physicians. Ardms/RVT certification and CPR-BLS are required, with experience in Abdomen/Small Parts, OB/GYN, Vascular, and Breast imaging preferred.

Qualifications

• ARDMS/RVT certification with ultrasound experience.
• Proficient in Abdomen/Small Parts, OB/GYN, and Vascular imaging.
• CPR-BLS certification.
• Experience running advanced ultrasound studies independently.

Responsabilités

• Document patient history prior to examination.
• Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment.
• Calm patients and explain imaging process.
• Position patients to obtain correct images.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedure.
• Maintain room cleanliness and supplies.
• Record data accurately in patient chart.
• Communicate medical data to staff/physician.
• Provide training to new technologists.
• Perform ultrasound imaging procedures as per department standards.

What We Are Looking For:

Ultrasound Technologist, Part Time

Location: Onsite Arlington Heights

Days/Hours: Saturday 8am-4:30pm or 5pm

Overview Of Key Responsibilities:

• Document patient's medical history prior to any examination
• Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment
• Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties, providing explanation of imaging process and addressing any questions or concerns
• Carefully position patients in order to obtain correct imaging
• Responsibly ensure patient is comfortable and safe throughout their experience
• Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies
• Use sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures
• Document ultrasound services by accurately recording data in the patient's chart
• Effectively communicate medical data, patient history and any related information to staff and appropriate physician
• Provide education, training and direction to new technologists
• Perform all job related functions as a Ultrasound Technologist, including all Ultrasound imaging procedures according to department standard in a timely and efficient manner
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance without assistance
• Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions

Qualities You Should Possess:

• Quick, accurate decision making
• Ability to perform effectively under stressful situations, working in fast-paced environment
• Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized
• Technical, extensive knowledge and skilled expertise in ultrasound technology
• Ability to integrate diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results, and medical histories to adapt sonographic examinations as necessary
• Effective, composed communication to address patient's questions
• Interpersonal skills, patient focused attitude with passion and sensitivity towards their care

Education, Experience & Requirements:

• ARDMS and/or RVT registered with prior clinical ultrasound experience
• Proficiency running advanced Ultrasound studies independently
• Proficient in Abdomen/Small Parts,OB/GYN, Vascular
• Experience in Breasts, preferred
• CPR-BLS Certification
