Job summary

Providence is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound examinations under physician orders in a patient‑focused setting in Oregon. The role emphasizes age‑related and special patient considerations while utilizing advanced ultrasound equipment.

The candidate should be board eligible for ARDMS, obtain Oregon licensure (or temporary) upon hire, and achieve ARDMS certification within six months.

Qualifications

• Board eligible for ARDMS certification.
• Oregon Sonographer license or temporary license upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire.
• New grads must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound examinations according to physicians' orders.
• Utilizes a variety of ultrasound equipment and accounts for individual patient needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Board eligible for certification at American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Upon hire: Oregon Sonographer
  • Upon hire: Oregon Sonographer Temporary.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Upon hire: New graduates must be board eligible and obtain certification (ARDMS) within 6 months of hire.
• Upon hire: New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 yearsClinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
• 2 yearsOBGYN sonography experience for 612-71875, 612-71877, 612-71878, 612-71882, 612-71883, 612-71884
