Qualifications

• ARDMS or ARRT credentials preferred or required within 1 year.
• Completion of an ultrasound program accredited by a recognized agency.
• BLS certification required.
• 5 years of sonography experience preferred.
• CPR certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform sonographic services and maintain quality controls.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to record and produce images.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort.
• Notify physicians of abnormalities immediately.
• Follow HIPAA rules and protect patient confidentiality.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area.
