Qualifications
- Student in an accredited Ultrasound program or one year clinical experience as a technologist.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, upon hire
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo, upon hire
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen, upon hire
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Breast, upon hire
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Neurosonology, upon hire
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer OB/GYN, upon hire
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Pediatric Sono, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days
Responsibilities
- Schedule exams and prepare patients for scans.
- Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust settings for optimal images.
- Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
- Maintain room and equipment hygiene and sterility.
- Review images with radiologist and document preliminary findings.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
- Perform quality control and routine maintenance on equipment.
- Manage supplies and assist radiologists during procedures.
