RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for Mammography at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. The role is full-time, day shift, on-site, with an hourly pay range and a supportive benefits package.

The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited school of sonography and prefer ARDMS certification or eligibility. Responsibilities include preparing patients, obtaining and recording high-quality images, and assisting physicians with diagnosis and treatment

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of sonography.
• Preferred: Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or eligible Registry.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam rooms before patient enters and cleans room after patient exit.
• Assists patients onto the table and instructs them in the procedure being performed.
• Selects and records appropriate images for the permanent record.
• Produces and analyzes ultrasound images used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.

Job Overview:

Sonographers provide patient services using diagnostic ultrasound equipment. The sonographer is competent in the production & analysis of ultrasound images used by physicians for patient diagnosis & treatment. In addition, the individual must be prepared to render quality patient care by exercising discretion & judgement in the performance of sonographic services.
