Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, FL is seeking a qualified Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic sonography exams while ensuring patient safety and care quality. Responsibilities include room setup, order verification, image quality checks, and documentation in EPIC/Synapse with timely PACS transfer.

The role requires ARDMS certification with RVT and abdomen/OB-GYN specialization, BLS/CPR, and hands-on experience. Training and support are provided in a collaborative hospital setting.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certified (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers)
• RVT certification and abdomen or OB/GYN specialization required
• BLS/CPR certification required

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment for sonography exams.
• Review patient history and physician orders for accuracy and medical necessity.
• Inspect images for quality and ensure proper patient IDs before radiologist interpretation.
• Assist in training new technologists and residents as needed.
• Operate equipment safely and perform QC to maintain optimal performance.
• Document exams in EPIC/Synapse and ensure images are sent to PACS.
• Provide a preliminary report and note any delays in the system.
