Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in South Florida is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound exams, prepare rooms, ensure safety, and maintain quality controls. The role requires ARDMS certification with RVT and abdomen or OB/GYN credentials, plus BLS/CPR.

You will participate in training, document imaging, and ensure proper data entry in EPIC and Synapse, with strong patient communication and adherence to infection control.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certified.
• RVT and either Abdomen or OB/GYN required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Graduate of an AMA Accredited Educational Program for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent.
• Experience: 3-5 years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations.
• Review patient medical history and physician's order prior to examination.
• Ensure the exam order is complete and medically necessary.
• Inspect images for quality and proper patient identification.
• Assist with training of new technologists and residents.
• Operate equipment safely and perform quality control procedures.
• Communicate with patients effectively and document exam data in EPIC/SYNAPSE.
