DeKalb Regional Medical Center in Fort Payne, AL is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound examinations for radiologic diagnosis. You will ensure patient safety and comfort, obtain quality images, and adhere to departmental protocols.

Qualifications include an Associate degree in Radiology, ARRT and/or RDMS registration or eligibility, and BLS certification. Two years of ultrasound experience is preferred.

• Perform ultrasound procedures without constant supervision.
• Assume responsibility for patient care, safety and comfort.
• Obtain ultrasound images creatively while following departmental standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
• Ensure procedures are properly ordered, verified and acknowledged.
• Identify patient prior to procedures and complete competency requirements.
• Perform additional duties as required.
