Job summary

Huntsville Hospital seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasonic examinations for radiologic diagnosis under the supervision of the attending physician. The role requires independent judgment and initiative to apply ultrasound techniques, ensuring patient safety and comfort and adherence to departmental protocols.

The position also involves supervising students during clinical rotations and ensuring proper patient identification and accurate procedure ordering is in place.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiology required.
• ARRT and/or RDMS registration or registry eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Completely performs all Ultrasound procedures without requiring constant supervision.
• Assumes responsibility for patient care, safety and comfort.
