Job summary

Advocate Health in Chicago is seeking a part-time Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound exams. The role is 20 hours per week with a day shift Monday through Friday and rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call backup.

The ideal candidate holds ARDMS certifications with RDMS/OB‑GYN or vascular registrations and CPR. Responsibilities include patient positioning, image acquisition, and collaboration with Radiology to ensure accurate interpretations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an ARDMS-approved program.
• RDMS/OB-GYN/vascular registrations must be obtained within set timeframes.
• CPR certification and hospital safety standards required.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and select technical factors to obtain high-quality scans.
• Operate portable ultrasound equipment as needed throughout the hospital.
• Assist radiologists with recommendations to optimize studies.
• Obtain pertinent patient history to inform interpretation.
• Maintain patient safety and comply with department policies.
