Job summary

Banner Health's University Medical Center South Tucson is seeking an Acute Ultrasound Technologist I to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging and follow provider orders within a collaborative care team. The role requires proficiency in ultrasound exams, adherence to safety standards, and patient education in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The position is full-time, day shift, on-site at BUMC South Tucson with on-call responsibilities. Sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Requires ARDMS/CCI/ARRT certification or registry eligibility with 12 months to achieve certification.
• BLS certification is required.
• Completion of an approved Ultrasound program.
• 0-3 years of clinical ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams by following orders and established protocols.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and expected outcomes.
• Perform equipment quality control measurements and ensure readiness of imaging areas.
• Maintain safety, confidentiality, and professional ethics in all interactions.
