Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Perinatology in Fayetteville, NC seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound across perinatology services. The role requires competency in ultrasound equipment, patient assessment, and collaboration with radiologists.

Qualifications include AMA-approved Sonography training, ARDMS/ARRT preference, and CPR certification. This is a full-time, on-site position offering growth in a busy perinatology department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Sonography program.
• Current AHA CPR certification required.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Competent in the technical operations of ultrasound equipment.
• Assess patients, review orders/chart and confirm exam reason.
• Prepare patients for procedure and communicate with supervising radiologist.
• Record exam begin/end times in RIS for timely radiologist access.
• Monitor infection control guidelines and patient safety goals.
• Perform QA of exams before interpretation.
• Participate in clinical education of student sonographers.
• Participate in Performance Improvement Projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
