Job summary

Freeman Health System seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasonic examinations for diagnostic evaluation under physician supervision. You will conduct a variety of procedures with independent judgment, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

The role requires ARDMS/CCI certification or graduation from an accredited ultrasound program, BLS certification, and RVT within 90 days of start. Prior radiologic sciences experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARDMS/CCI certified or graduate of a program accredited by CHEA/USDOE/CMA for diagnostic medical sonography/vascular tech
• Current BLS certification or acquired within first 7 days of employment
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) within 90 days of employment
• Clinical experience through accreditation in radiologic sciences/ultrasound technology

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasonic examinations for diagnostic evaluation and treatment by attending physician
• Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative in applying ultrasound techniques
• Ensure safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound procedures
• Verify procedures are appropriately ordered and patient identification obtained prior to performing the exam
