Job summary

Freeman Health System in Bentonville, AR, seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams under physician guidance. You will apply ultrasound techniques, ensure patient safety and comfort, and verify orders and patient identification before procedures.

The role emphasizes independent judgment, technical accuracy, and collaboration with radiology staff to support timely, high-quality imaging for patient care.

Qualifications

• ARDMS/CCI certified or graduate of a program accredited by CHEA, USDOE or CMA that specifically conducts programmatic accreditation for diagnostic medical sonography/diagnostic cardiac sonography/vascular technology and eligible for registry
• Current BLS or acquired within the first 7 days of employment
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) within 90 days of employment
• Clinical experience acquired through the completion of radiologic sciences program
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic sciences or ultrasound technology program

Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in applying ultrasound techniques for radiologic diagnosis. Requirements

• ARDMS/CCI certified or graduate of a program accredited by an agency recognized by CHEA, USDOE or CMA that specifically conducts programmatic accreditation for diagnostic medical sonography/diagnostic cardiac sonography/vascular technology and eligible for registry
• Current BLS or acquired within the first 7 days of employment
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) within 90 days of employment
• Clinical experience acquired through the completion of radiologic sciences program
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic sciences or ultrasound technology program

Preferred Requirements

• Two years experience as a sonographer in an acute care hospital setting
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic sciences program with a B.S
• Completion of advanced modality program(s)
