Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE seeks an Ultrasound Technologist for part-time/per diem coverage on rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

The sonographer performs ultrasound procedures in the department, at the bedside, and in the OR, collaborating with radiologists to provide high-quality images for interpretation and aiding interventional procedures. Independent judgment is required, with adherence to protocols and image quality standards.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or equivalent, completion of an accredited program in ultrasound technology.
• ARDMS Registration
• BLS required

Responsibilities

• The sonographer performs all ultrasound procedures in the department, at the bedside, and in the OR.
• Works closely with radiologists to present images and data for interpretation.
• Demonstrates independent judgment during procedures and in difficult situations.
• May have direct or indirect access to medications per hospital protocols.
• Evaluates images for technical quality.
